A British Bangladeshi Muslim girl who spent the early days of my life in East London. While growing up, I always felt the silenced, Oppressed, and depressed voices in the urban neighborhood. From adolescence I had a passion and drive to bring a difference and help people in bringing back happiness in their lives by stressing off their hearts, therefore, I started working with charities and providing crisis support to victims of domestic violence, trauma, and addiction. In 2015 I became a qualified therapist along with charity work and continued training in couples therapy and trauma work.

What is Psychotherapy?

Unfortunately, society is still in the process of overcoming stigma. For many years has been attached to seeing a Therapist. For many people there is a lot of shame that comes from discussing feelings, the only way to deal with a difficult emotion is to ‘toughen up’. In other words, to pretend those feelings don’t exist.
